Irish-issued documents going to Polish authorities — USC (Urząd Stanu Cywilnego) registration, Sąd Rejonowy proceedings, Polish citizenship or dual-citizenship files — need a sworn translation (tłumaczenie przysięgłe), which we have made and signed by a sworn translator in Poland. USC Documents: Modern Multilingual and Older Formats

Post-2015 USC extracts follow the CIEC multilingual template with columns in Polish, French and English. Older extracts come as single-language Polish documents in two shapes: odpis skrócony (short-form) or odpis zupełny (full-form with margin notes). Both formats are certified for ISD without extra cost. Older USC volumes with handwritten margin notes (adopcja, uznanie, unieważnienie) are annotated in the target text so nothing is silently dropped.

Section 15 Citizenship: The Polish Document Bundle

Naturalisation applications under Section 15 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act 1956 typically require certified translations of: the applicant’s Polish birth certificate; every marriage or divorce document since age 18; and a Polish police clearance (zaświadczenie o niekaralności z Krajowego Rejestru Karnego). Where a parent or spouse is a Polish citizen, add their birth or marriage extract if it establishes the relationship being relied on. If the applicant has resided in a third country for more than six months since age 16, ISD may also request a criminal record from that jurisdiction (see Criminal Record Translation Ireland).
