What ISD requires from a certified translation

Immigration Service Delivery (ISD), formerly the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS), requires a signed Statement of Accuracy confirming that the translation is accurate and complete. The statement must include the translator's full name, the date of translation, and the translator's contact details.

Under Irish law no physical stamp or notarisation is required. Translations must, however, be produced by a professional translator. The full address for in-person ISD appointments is Immigration Service Delivery, 13–14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2, D02 XK70.

What is the difference between ISD and INIS?

INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service) was the former name of the Irish immigration authority. In 2021 it was restructured as Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) and now operates under the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration. The Burgh Quay Registration Office continues to serve as the main public-facing office in Dublin.

Both "INIS translation" and "ISD translation" refer to the same requirement — a certified translation accompanied by a signed Statement of Accuracy. The same translation serves under either name.
