What ISD requires from a certified translation
Immigration Service Delivery (ISD), formerly the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS), requires a signed Statement of Accuracy confirming that the translation is accurate and complete. The statement must include the translator's full name, the company name, the CRO (Companies Registration Office) number, the date of translation, and the translator's contact details.
Under Irish law no physical stamp or notarisation is required. Translations must, however, be produced by a qualified professional translator. The full address for in-person ISD appointments is Immigration Service Delivery, 13–14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2, D02 XK70. The same standard is applied by the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) for registration outside Dublin.

What is the difference between ISD and INIS?
INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service) was the former name of the Irish immigration authority. In 2021 it was restructured as Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) and now operates under the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration. The Burgh Quay Registration Office continues to serve as the main public-facing office in Dublin.
Both "INIS translation" and "ISD translation" refer to the same requirement — a certified translation accompanied by a signed Statement of Accuracy. All translations certified by Tatkowski meet the current ISD standard and are accepted in the same way under either name.

Is a stamp or notarisation required for ISD?
No. Ireland does not require a physical stamp or notarisation on certified translations. Immigration Service Delivery (ISD), formerly INIS, accepts translations that include a signed Statement of Accuracy from a qualified translator stating their name, the company name, CRO number, the date, and contact details.
Can I use a translation done outside Ireland for an ISD application?
In most cases ISD prefers translations produced by a translator based in Ireland or by an Irish-registered translation company because the Statement of Accuracy must be verifiable.
